What are cookies?

Cookies are small files a server sends to your device and your browser stores. They let a site remember your choices — the language you picked, for instance — and, in the case of analytics cookies, measure how the site is used.

Cookies used on this site

Necessary: the cookie holding your language choice and the cookie remembering your decision about cookies. Without the first the site cannot remember which language you want to read it in; without the second we would ask you for consent on every visit.

The anonymous per-listing view counter uses no cookies at all — on the browser side it uses only a marker in session memory, which disappears when the tab is closed.

We measure traffic on the site with Vercel Web Analytics. It too stores no cookie and no other persistent identifier on your device — like the view counter it needs no consent; the details are set out in the Privacy policy.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited): stored only after you consent to the “Statistics” category, and used to recognise a repeat visit. Marketing cookies (Google Analytics/Ads): stored only after you consent to the “Marketing” category. You can change your choice at any time via the “Manage cookies” link in the footer, and independently of it you can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout; the details are set out in the Privacy policy.

You can delete cookies or block them at any time in your browser settings. Blocking the language cookie may limit how the site works.
