How to travel around alicante

Trams and city buses

Convenient movement around the city will be possible by public transport – trams and buses. You can buy a non-transfer ticket for the bus from the driver for 1.45 euros, and the tram will serve you again.

The tram network in Alicante is very modern. It is a combination of tram and metro, so don’t forget to keep your – ticket properly at some stops at the entrance and exit you will need it. If you plan to complete at least ten trips, it will be worthwhile to purchase a special card „ Móbilis card “. They are sold in EMT newsagents and branches.

You can charge the card for 10 rides and then recharge it regularly as needed. Always take good care of which card you buy – each applies to different tariff bands and has different time limits. There are six tariff zones in Alicante, which are marked with the letters A to F. The cheapest card costs 10 euros.

You are also offered the option to purchase an unlimited one-day (4 EUR), two-day (6.70 EUR), or a three-day ticket (9.70 EUR). It is also possible to get a group discount – for families and groups with more than 10 members.
