Near the town of Penáguila, in the Aitana Mountains, a full 1000 meters above sea level, is the picturesque Aitana Safari Park.
They are open daily from 11am to 7pm, the price is €20 per adult, and excursions are possible with a trained guide who will tell you everything you want to know.
Animals from Europe, Asia, America, Australia and Africa can also be sponsored, with the elephant and the king of animals, the lion, on offer.
At the aptly named Cannibal restaurant, you can dine from €4 and sample dishes typical of the area, among other things.
